Hugh Alexander Inglis

Honored: October 23, 1981

Born: August 20, 1906, Habersham County, Georgia

Died: February 15, 1989

Occupation: Teacher of vocational education in Habersham County; farm shop consultant in the South for the National Youth Administration; Farm Security Administration; and Extension Service agronomist in the College of Agriculture in charge of crop improvement and seed certification work.

Accomplishments: Mr. Inglis was named Master Teacher of Georgia and Teacher of the South. He received the Georgia Crop Improvement Association Award of Merit and was named Man of the Year by the Southern Seedsman's Association. He was the recipient of Alpha Gamma Rho's Superior Service Award. Following his retirement, he served as secretary-treasurer and president of the Ag Alumni Association. He was responsible for establishing the Eterna Club.
