Born: November 14, 1927, Hall County, Georgia
Occupation: Executive director of the Georgia Poultry Federation.
Accomplishments: Mr. Massey recommended state funding for
a Veterinary Medicine Experiment Station and led a coalition to
build the new Comprehensive Animal, Livestock and Poultry facilities.
He initiated poultry and agricultural technology programs and
helped expand regional offices at Georgia Tech. He received the
Gold Circle Award from the Communication Section of the American
Society of Association Executives and the Outstanding Service
Award from the National Association of Vocational Home Economics
Teachers for his work with the "Chicken of the Right Track"
educational program for home economics teachers. He received the
Distinguished Service Award from the Ag Alumni Association and
the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, both
of which he served as president. He was awarded the Distinguished
UGA Alumni Merit Award and the Blue Key Alumnus Award.
